What is ScanHealth?

ScanHealth analyzes your blood test and lab reports using AI. Upload a PDF or photo of your report, and get plain-language explanations of every marker — what it means, whether it's normal, and what you can do about it.

Is this a medical diagnosis?

No. ScanHealth provides informational explanations only, not medical diagnoses. The analysis is based on the reference ranges printed on your lab report. Always consult a qualified doctor for medical advice and treatment decisions.

How does the analysis work?

We use AI (Anthropic's Claude) to read your lab report, extract each marker's value and reference range, and then compare them. The reference range on YOUR report is what we use — we don't substitute general ranges, because different labs use different standards.

What file formats do you accept?

PDF (recommended), JPEG, PNG, WEBP, and HEIC. PDFs tend to give the most accurate results since they're higher quality than photos. Multi-page PDFs are fully supported.

Is my health data safe?

Yes. Your data is stored on encrypted servers with row-level security — only you can access your reports. We don't sell your data. Lab reports are sent to Anthropic's API for analysis, which does not use API inputs for training. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What lab reports work best?

Standard Indian lab panels work great: CBC (Complete Blood Count), lipid profile, liver function, kidney function, thyroid panel, blood sugar, vitamins, and iron studies. Reports from major labs (SRL, Thyrocare, Dr Lal PathLabs, Metropolis, etc.) are well-supported.

Can I track changes over time?

Yes. Upload multiple reports and ScanHealth will show you how each marker is trending — improving, stable, or worsening — with charts showing the history.

What are the action plans?

When markers are outside the reference range, ScanHealth generates personalized suggestions in three categories: quick wins (immediate changes), habit changes (medium-term), and things to discuss with your doctor. These are general wellness suggestions, not prescriptions.

Is ScanHealth free?

Yes, ScanHealth is currently free to use.

What if the AI misreads my report?

AI extraction is accurate for most standard lab report formats, but it can occasionally misread values — especially from low-quality photos or unusual layouts. Always verify the extracted values against your original report. If something looks wrong, you can re-upload a clearer image.
